The announcement was made following a council meeting at the Muna Hotel, Yola, on Sunday, according to Vice Chairman Senator Abubakar Girei and Secretary Mrs Olvadi Madayi.

The endorsement follows extensive consultations aimed at strengthening internal cohesion within the party and positioning the APC for victory in the 2027 general elections.

The Elders emphasised that the council was constituted in line with recommendations from the APC Reconciliation Committee to resolve internal disagreements and forge a united front among party stakeholders in the state.

“We are committed to resolving lingering disputes within the party and mobilising support for President Tinubu and other APC candidates in the upcoming polls,” the council communiqué stated.

The council further highlighted that supporting President Tinubu aligns with its mandate to build a strong and united APC capable of delivering electoral success at all levels.

They also expressed gratitude for the appointment of Adamawa indigenes to strategic positions in the federal administration, including the party’s state leader.

To demonstrate appreciation, the elders announced plans to organise a grand rally and reception for all federal appointees from Adamawa State.

They also resolved to extend reconciliation and mobilisation efforts to the local government and ward levels to prevent divisions and foster unity within the party.
