Speaking during the ADC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, Mark said kidnapping, armed robbery, and other violent crimes have become the “new normal” under the ruling party.

He called on opposition forces to rise to the challenge, pledging that the ADC would pursue a different approach to ensure national safety.

“Nigeria is now bedeviled by un-abating insecurity, kidnapping, and violence of immense proportion. The ruling APC has shown incompetence. Our party, the ADC, must rise up to the occasion to address these ills,” he said.

Mark emphasised that Nigerians across all walks of life are demanding equity, justice, and people-focused leadership.

He added that ADC leaders must subordinate personal interests to reposition the party as a credible platform for national renewal.

“This responsibility is not just political it is moral and historic. We must remain united, strengthen our grassroots structures, and expand meaningful engagement with citizens across regions, religions, and generations,” he stated.

The ADC chairman urged party members to work collaboratively, reinforcing internal cohesion and adhering to democratic principles.

He said that unity within the party is “non-negotiable” and essential to confronting the country’s security and governance challenges.
