ADC opens sale of forms for internal elections

ADC announces sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for ward, local government, state congresses, and national convention, with fees and deadlinesThe African Democratic Congress has officially announced the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for members seeking leadership positions across ward, local government, state, and national levels.

The announcement, issued from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja, was signed by National Organizing Secretary Chinedu Idigo.

Aspiring candidates are required to obtain and complete the forms before the deadline, with Expression of Interest forms priced at ₦2,000. Nomination fees vary by position:

  • Ward level: Chairman ₦10,000, Secretary ₦5,000, others ₦3,000.
  • Local government: Chairman ₦40,000, Secretary ₦30,000, others ₦10,000.
  • State level: Chairman ₦500,000, Secretary ₦300,000, others ₦50,000.
  • National convention delegates: ₦10,000 each.

All aspirants must also be nominated by party members, with each nominator paying a ₦500 non-refundable fee.

Required numbers of nominators range from five at ward level to 50 for top state positions, with some required to represent different areas.

Payments must be made via bank transfer to the party’s designated account, and proof of payment is needed to collect forms.

Completed forms must be submitted by March 27, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Screening of aspirants is scheduled for March 30–31, 2026, after which the party will conduct its congresses and national convention.

The ADC urged members to adhere to guidelines and participate peacefully as it strengthens its internal structure ahead of future political activities.
