Rotimi Amaechi, who was dressed in Niger Delta traditional attire and accompanied by close political associates, was seen entering the venue ahead of the party’s internal assessment process for presidential aspirants.
The ADC presidential screening Abuja exercise forms part of the party’s internal procedures to evaluate aspirants seeking its presidential ticket for the upcoming election cycle.
Amaechi had earlier declared his intention to contest the presidency under the African Democratic Congress after submitting his nomination forms at the party secretariat in Abuja.
He maintained at the time that his ambition was strictly for the presidency and not for any subordinate position.
