Governor Ademola Adeleke officially confirmed by INEC as Accord Party candidate for Osun 2026 governorship election
The Accord Party has confirmed Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke as its duly nominated candidate for the August 8, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, the party announced on Thursday.

Pastor Victor Akande, Chairman of the Accord Party, said the confirmation followed the completion of documentation and submission processes with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which now lists Adeleke as the party’s official candidate.
“We are pleased to formally inform the good people of Osun State that His Excellency, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has been successfully uploaded into the records of INEC as the Accord Party’s candidate,” Akande stated.
The party described the development as a significant milestone in its election preparations and an affirmation of compliance with electoral guidelines and candidate nomination procedures.
Akande acknowledged the overwhelming support received by both the party and Governor Adeleke from residents and members across Osun State since preparations began.
He urged supporters and eligible voters to remain engaged with the electoral process, ensure their voter registration, and obtain Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the August 8 poll.
“The confirmation by INEC is an affirmation that the nomination process has been duly concluded in line with the requirements of the law,” Akande added, emphasising the importance of orderly participation in the upcoming election.
