2027: Adeleke Camp Pledges 1.5 Million Votes for Tinubu

Adeleke camp pledges 1.5m votes for Tinubu in 2027, following the Osun governor’s appointment as state coordinator of the presidential campaign council

The Imole Campaign Council has pledged to deliver 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, citing its political structure in Osun State and Governor Ademola Adeleke’s appointment to the presidential campaign council.

The council’s Director General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, announced the commitment in a statement issued on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, following the inclusion of Adeleke in the revised All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list.

Adeleke, who currently governs Osun State on the platform of the Accord Party, was named the state coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun.

The development prompted the Imole Campaign Council to express support for the appointment and pledge to mobilise voters for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 poll.

Oyewumi said the political structure of the Accord Party in Osun would work towards securing victory for the president.

“The Imole Campaign Council welcomes the appointment of Governor Adeleke as State Coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun,” he said.

He described the appointment as well deserved and said the council would work to justify the confidence placed in the governor.

“We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the Presidential election will not be misplaced,” Oyewumi stated.

He added that the council was reiterating a pledge Adeleke had made previously.

“We promise the President, just like Governor Adeleke said sometimes ago, that we will deliver 1.5million votes to ensure his victory in the coming Presidential election,” he said.

Adeleke’s appointment is part of a wider list of political figures included in the revised presidential campaign council.

Those named include the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori; and Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, among other prominent figures.

The appointments bring together political actors from different parties and regions as preparations for the 2027 presidential election gather momentum.

The Imole Campaign Council also called on the people of Osun State to support Adeleke, arguing that backing Tinubu’s re-election bid would align with support for the governor.

The council urged residents to trust Adeleke as he continues to implement his campaign promises.

Adeleke was declared the winner of the Osun State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s returning officer, Professor Joshua Ogunwole.

He polled 511,067 votes on the Accord Party platform to defeat the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444,815 votes.

The latest pledge comes as political parties and campaign groups begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.

However, the promised 1.5 million votes remains a political commitment by the Imole Campaign Council; the eventual outcome will depend on voters’ decisions at the polls.
