Governor Ademola Adeleke has congratulated Justice Joseph Oyewole on his appointment to the Supreme Court, calling the elevation well-deserved and a source of pride for Osun State.

In a statement on Thursday, Adeleke praised Justice Oyewole’s integrity, professionalism, and long-standing dedication to the judiciary.
“Hon. Justice Oyewole is an embodiment of integrity, and his commitment to justice is unparalleled,” the governor said, noting that the appointment reflects decades of consistent excellence on the bench.
Adeleke expressed confidence that Justice Oyewole would excel in his new role, citing his extensive experience, including over two decades of impartial judicial service.
“Going by his antecedents in effectively and dispassionately dispensing justice, I have no iota of doubt that Hon. Justice Oyewole will excel in this new role,” he added.

The National Judicial Council recommended Justice Oyewole, Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Enugu Division, for the Supreme Court on Wednesday, January 13, 2026, alongside 35 other candidates for various judicial offices.
