Ajadi Oyo PDP gubernatorial ambition gains momentum as Olufemi Ajadi pledges to sustain Governor Seyi Makinde’s development strides in Oyo State

Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining the developmental agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde, describing the incumbent as a “talk-and-do leader” during a stakeholder engagement in Ibadan.

The Ambition was restated on Sunday when he hosted executive members of the Secretary Forum from all 33 local government areas of Oyo State at his residence, where he outlined his vision for continuity in governance and development.

Olufemi Ajadi said his aspiration is anchored on building upon the foundation laid by Governor Seyi Makinde, stressing that continuity would strengthen ongoing reforms and deepen grassroots development across the state.

He expressed appreciation to the forum members for attending the meeting on short notice, describing their presence as a strong indication of unity and shared commitment to the progress of Oyo State.

Ajadi also assured supporters that his consultations across the state were aimed at consolidating party unity and strengthening internal cohesion within the PDP ahead of future elections.

Members of the Secretary Forum, drawn from across the 33 local government areas, expressed support for Ajadi’s ambition and described him as a unifying figure within the party structure.

The forum’s secretary, Mr. Oyelami Joel, commended Ajadi for his efforts in stabilising the party during a period of internal challenges, noting that his engagements have been consistent and visible at the grassroots level.

Forum coordinator Mrs. Tope Alice Aworele also praised Ajadi’s outreach efforts, stating that his political activities have resonated across communities in the state.

She expressed optimism that his leadership, if given the party’s ticket, would reflect continuity of Makinde’s governance style and priorities.

Other stakeholders present highlighted the significance of the turnout, describing it as a strong show of political solidarity and organisational strength within the PDP structure.

They urged Ajadi to prioritise inclusive governance, rural development, and people-centred policies if elected governor, while also calling for sustained engagement with party stakeholders.

In his remarks, Ajadi reiterated his readiness to work with all party stakeholders, pledging that his campaign would remain focused on unity, development, and continuity of governance achievements in Oyo State.

The gathering ended with prayers and expressions of support for his gubernatorial aspiration, reinforcing growing political momentum around his bid.
