The meetings, held at different locations across Ibadan, highlighted Ajadi’s consultative political style and determination to build a grassroots structure.
Addressing the vice chairmen, he described his aspiration as a divine calling and urged them to help relay his message to communities at the ward level.
“This ambition is not driven by personal gain but by God’s calling and a sense of responsibility to serve,” Ajadi said.
He presented a detailed account of his personal background and political journey, highlighting his experience as a politician, industrialist, humanitarian, and trained journalist with business interests in manufacturing, property management, and entertainment.
Ajadi credited the late Hon. Sesan Adeagbo, also known as Elesan, for introducing him to political leaders across Oyo State, which shaped his political path.
He recalled stepping down from the NNPP presidential race in favour of Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as a demonstration of party unity, later being offered the Ogun State governorship ticket in recognition of his sacrifice.
Encouraged by prominent leaders, including Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan, Ajadi shifted focus to Oyo State politics, aiming to extend goodwill and service to his father’s state.
Party leaders praised Ajadi’s consultative approach, noting that his interactions with PDP executives across state, local government, and ward levels distinguish him from aspirants relying solely on publicity.
Several vice chairmen commended Ajadi’s empathy and grassroots engagement.
Hon. Ogundiya Sola of Atisbo Local Government emphasised party unity, while Hon. Kareem Mujidat of Ogbomoso South urged him to sustain community penetration.
Hon. Alade Nureni of Oyo West highlighted Ajadi’s supportive visit following a recent family tragedy in the council.
Later, Ajadi met with Chiefs of Staff from the 33 LGAs, unveiling a continuity agenda aimed at consolidating Governor Makinde’s achievements.
“I am here to formally inform you that my aspiration is to continue from where Governor Seyi Makinde will stop, if I am fortunate with your involvement to be given the PDP ticket and the mandate of the people in 2027,” Ajadi said.
Support from local party leaders, including PDP chairmen, councillors, and stakeholders, was described as a collective project.
Chiefs of Staff also commended Ajadi’s humility, consultations, and commitment to party unity.
