Ajose issued a firm disclaimer on Thursday, April 30, 2026, rejecting a circulating press release that alleged his support for the Deputy Governor in the Lagos APC governorship race.
He described the publication as false, malicious, and unauthorized, insisting it did not originate from him or his campaign team.
Ajose stated that he had no involvement in decisions attributed to the Lagos APC Governance Advisory Council, which was also referenced in the disputed report.
He emphasised that the content was entirely fabricated and designed to mislead the public and distort political perceptions within the state.
According to him, the publication does not represent his position or that of anyone officially authorised to speak on his behalf.
Ajose urged the public, particularly his supporters across Lagos, to disregard the report completely, warning that it was part of a broader attempt to manipulate opinion.
He also issued a stern warning to media platforms that circulated the statement, demanding immediate retraction and deletion within 12 hours.
The aspirant cautioned that failure to comply would result in legal action over reputational and electoral harm.
Ajose further described the incident as defamatory, adding that he would not tolerate what he termed a deliberate attempt to damage his political standing.
