Akpabio Predicts Overwhelming APC Victory as traditional rulers and stakeholders in the council reportedly reaffirmed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno.

Speaking to journalists after the emergence of new APC local government executives through a consensus process, the Senate President urged party leaders to maintain unity and consolidate the party’s grassroots structure.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Jackson Udom, Senator Akpabio described the development as a clear demonstration of loyalty to both the President and the governor.

“My people have once again endorsed President Bola Tinubu. I am very satisfied with the exercise. This is very significant,” Akpabio said.

The Senate President added that traditional rulers in the area had declared that there should be no consultations in their domain for the presidency outside President Tinubu, and none for the governorship outside Governor Eno.

Senator Akpabio maintained that Essien Udim, which he described as one of the most populous councils in the state, would deliver more than 180,000 votes to the APC based on current voter registration figures.

“It was a very peaceful exercise. They have elected their officers for the council through consensus. I am very pleased to be a participant and a witness to this grand occasion,” he said.
