According to reports, Ndubueze repeatedly denied Akpoti-Uduaghan the opportunity to ask what she described as vital questions to the Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, striking the gavel to cut off her interventions.
“I have something to say. Please, will you mind if I do so?” Akpoti-Uduaghan asked, but Ndubueze responded, “Distinguished, please let’s call it a day,” striking the gavel again as she attempted to engage the minister.
Akpoti-Uduaghan accused Ndubueze of disrespecting her and stated that the committee had not been given sufficient time to interact with the minister.
“That is fine. You have disrespected me more than enough. You can’t do this to me. I have something very vital to ask the minister… Only God knows when next we’re going to meet with him as a committee,” she said.
