The charge was delivered by Dr Eventus Edem, former Uruan Local Government Chairman and Spokesperson of Team Aniekan Bassey, during a session with trainees in the ongoing 4-week Digital Skills and Career Development Training in Uyo.
The annual training is powered by Senator Aniekan Bassey through his RHAB-YESS Foundation, in partnership with ImpactHER, a globally recognised non-profit supporting youth and women entrepreneurs.
Dr Edem highlighted the importance of digital positioning and storytelling in gaining professional visibility.
“In a world that is increasingly digital, your brand and resume are your first impression. Make it compelling, make it unforgettable,” he told participants.
He praised Senator Bassey’s consistent investment in youth empowerment, describing the initiative as a game-changer for the region.
“With the benevolence of Senator Aniekan Bassey, the RHAB-YESS Foundation is not only nurturing talent but also rewriting the narrative of youth development through entrepreneurship in Akwa Ibom and beyond,” Dr Edem said.
The training features a dynamic curriculum including Building a Personal Brand, Navigating the World of Work, Job Searching Online, Using AI for Content Creation, Facebook Ads, and Google Workspace for Business.
Mr Darlington Udobong, Programme Director of the RHAB-YESS Foundation, said the initiative goes far beyond technical instruction.
“This programme is Senator Aniekan Bassey’s long-term investment in the future of our youths,” Udobong stated.
“It’s about equipping our young people to become problem solvers, innovators, and active contributors to the digital economy.”
He described the initiative as a movement, not just a programme. “It’s transforming lives and building a community of resilient, digitally-skilled young leaders,” he added.
