APC forms 73-member committee of governors and lawmakers to coordinate 2026 National Convention
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a central coordination committee to oversee its 2026 National Convention, aiming to guarantee a smooth and well-organised party congress.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by APC National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma was appointed Chairman, while Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will serve as Vice Chairman.
Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni was named Secretary of the committee.
The 73-member committee comprises governors, senators, and other key party stakeholders from across Nigeria, including representatives from Kano, Kaduna, Borno, Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Plateau, Katsina, Sokoto, Gombe, Jigawa, Yobe, Benue, Cross River, Ebonyi, and Nasarawa states.
Prominent members include Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and other influential party figures.

The APC stated that details regarding the inauguration of the Central Coordination Committee, as well as additional activities leading up to the 2026 National Convention, would be communicated in due course.
