The rescheduled Ward Congress will take place on Wednesday, 25 February, while the Local Government Congress is set for Thursday, 26 February.
The dates were confirmed in a statement from the APC caucus in Abia State, which said unity has now been achieved within the party’s state chapter.
The caucus noted that the State Congress will proceed as planned on Tuesday, 3 March 2026. Party officials emphasised that the rescheduling ensures a smoother, more inclusive process for members at all levels.
There has been speculation that Alex Otti may join the APC to contest for a second tenure. However, the governor’s media aides, Ferdinand Ekeoma and Dodoh Okafor, have dismissed these claims, insisting that no decision has been made.
