Oke made the appeal on Monday at the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ Unity Rally held at Ogbomoso Town Hall in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area.
He stressed that teamwork and cohesion were essential to dislodge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
“Eight years as a major opposition party is enough. We must work together to win in 2027. We must return to Government House, Agodi,” Oke said.
“I passionately appeal to the leaders and members of this great party in the state to bury their differences and work together with unity of purpose to reclaim Oyo.”
The rally drew leaders and members from the five local government areas of the Ogbomoso zone Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Ogo-Oluwa and Surulere.
Segun Odebunmi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Authority, welcomed participants and reaffirmed Ogbomoso’s status as a stronghold of the APC.
State Chairman of the APC, Olayide Abass, praised the resilience and organisational strength of stakeholders, highlighting their importance to the party’s plan for 2027.
Former Senate Leader and 2023 APC governorship candidate, Teslim Folarin, urged members to take the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda to the grassroots.
Florence Ajimobi, former First Lady of Oyo State, called for unity and peace within the party.
“It is obvious that the APC is the only formidable political party in this state. The current atmosphere of peace will be nurtured and sustained as all key stakeholders have agreed to work together to re-elect our President and return the APC to Agodi Government House in 2027,” she said.
Dignitaries at the rally included Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu; Senator Yunus Akintunde; Senators Ayoola Agboola, Brimoh Yusuf and Fatai Buhari; House of Representatives member Akeem Adeyemi; Prof. Adeolu Akande; and APC state Public Relations Officer, Wale Sadare, among others.
