Agbede-Ally made the claim on Tuesday during an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show, where she reacted to the recently concluded APC primaries across the country.
She alleged that significant confusion surrounded the exercise, claiming that party members were called to a meeting without proper inclusion of all aspirants.
“There was significant chaos before the supposed primaries. A meeting was held for all APC members in the region, but I was not invited,” she said.
The aspirant further claimed she entered the meeting venue where party officials and stakeholders, including representatives from the constituency, were present.
She also alleged that political directives were issued in favour of the incumbent representative, Hon. Peter Akpanke, despite other aspirants expressing interest in contesting.
“During the meeting, I was told that the Cross River State governor had directed that Hon. Akpanke be supported,” she stated.
Agbede-Ally insisted that no actual voting process took place in her constituency, adding that constituents were allegedly instructed to support a particular candidate.
“No election was held to that effect. Even in my area, my people confirmed they were directed to vote Peter Akpanke,” she added.

The APC has yet to publicly respond to the allegations as internal disputes continue to trail the party’s primary elections in several states.
