Lagos APC Spokesman Seye Oladejo described the move in a statement on Thursday titled, “You Can’t Trust Atiku More Than His Son,” as a significant blow to Atiku’s political credibility.
Oladejo said the younger Atiku’s decision to abandon the ADC and join the APC constitutes “a political earthquake” and sends a stronger message than any press conference could.
“When a man’s own son deserts his political judgment, repudiates his choices, and embraces an alternative path, Nigerians are entitled to ask what deeper indictment of credibility is required,” he said.
The spokesman further accused Atiku of decades of ideological inconsistency, noting his history of party switches and transactional alliances.
He described the son’s defection as a generational repudiation of “recycled politics, expired ambitions, and leadership without conviction.”
Oladejo welcomed the move as an endorsement of the APC’s governance and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He added that leadership unable to inspire loyalty at home cannot command confidence nationally.

“The era of political tourism, moral inconsistency, and ambition without ideology is gasping for relevance,” Oladejo said, urging Nigerians to “read the political handwriting on the wall.”
