The statement was released on Sunday in Osogbo, Osun State.
Oyintiloye noted that Oyebamiji’s selection through a consensus arrangement should be credited to the APC leadership and members, particularly aspirants who voluntarily stepped down.
He highlighted the peaceful nature of the primary as a testament to the party’s growth and excellence of character.
“With Oyebamiji as the party’s candidate and the APC’s impending victory at the polls, the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu would be translated into good governance in Osun without hitch,” Oyintiloye said.
He urged party members to unite and work diligently to ensure success in the main election, emphasising that initial concerns over the large pool of aspirants were alleviated by the guidance of senior party leaders.
Oyintiloye commended President Bola Tinubu, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Chief Bisi Akande, and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, among others, for their commitment to a smooth primary process.
He further encouraged the APC leadership in Osun to strengthen the party machinery, stating that, if elected, Oyebamiji would implement people-friendly programmes and policies designed to positively impact residents’ lives.
