Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Galadima said Nigeria is not led by real politicians but by “usurpers and opportunists” who exploit the system.
“There aren’t any politicians in the country, only usurpers in politics. There aren’t politicians, only opportunists in politics,” he declared.
The NNPP leader explained that his outspokenness has kept him from holding even the lowest elective positions.
“I’m a bad one (politician), that is why I have never been a councillor throughout my life despite the struggle,” he said.
Pointing to his daughter’s political career, Galadima emphasized that she was elected rather than appointed, stressing that her refusal to compromise has even cost her benefits.
“Even her parting gift where she was a councillor, up till now they refused to give her because she is my daughter,” he lamented.
“In the Nigerian context I’m the worst man, not even a bad man, because Nigeria doesn’t like my type,” Galadima added, insisting that he would always “look you straight in the eyes and tell you what you don’t want to hear, but it’s the truth.”
