Justice Peter Odo Lifu will decide whether to grant an interim injunction seeking to stop the senator from participating in party activities pending the determination of the substantive suit.

The case was filed by Okezuo Godfrey Anayo and Isaiah Ojonugwa Samuel, who claim to represent members of the Wuse Ward Executive Committee in Abuja.

They allege that Senator Kingibe was suspended on March 10 over accusations of anti-party activities and misconduct.

The plaintiffs are asking the court to restrain her from parading herself as an ADC member, attending meetings, or performing party functions.

They also want her barred from interfering in the administration of the ward and access to party records.

According to the suit, the suspension was ratified by a two-thirds majority of the ward executive members in line with the party’s constitution.

The plaintiffs further alleged that despite being notified, the senator continued to hold parallel meetings and issue statements as an ADC member.

They also accused her of using security details to intimidate party executives, claims she has not publicly responded to.

After hearing arguments from both sides, Justice Lifu fixed April 1 for ruling on the application.
