Speaking in Jalingo on Saturday, Usman said his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) would allow him to pursue his political ambition ahead of the 2026/2027 elections.

He thanked his loyal supporters across Southern Taraba, the state, and in the diaspora for standing by him since leaving the APC.

“Your support is evidence of our shared vision to rescue the people of Taraba from the grip of bad governance,” Usman declared.

Explaining his choice, he stressed that his move to the ADC was the result of due diligence and broad consultations.

“The ADC provides a viable platform for engaging in the democratic process and promoting people-centered policies,” he said.

Usman further urged his supporters to align with his new political direction.

“I call on all my supporters, well-wishers, and advocates of good governance to back this movement.

Together, we can empower the underprivileged, improve living conditions, and support communities in need by firmly standing with the ADC.”
