Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Momodu emphasized that northern voters would rally behind Atiku, similar to how they supported the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
“From Atiku, even those who did not like Atiku before, he is beginning to smell like roses to them because the enemy of your enemy is your friend,” Momodu said.
He highlighted Atiku’s long-standing political preparation, tracing it back to 1993 when he stepped down for MKO Abiola, and noted that this experience makes him a formidable candidate for the presidency.
“Atiku started from 1993 when he stepped down for MKO Abiola and that’s where my fascination for him started from and he’s there waiting. His people will support him and defend their votes. Rigging is impossible when you talk about the overwhelming majority,” Momodu added.
Momodu also compared Atiku’s preparation to that of Donald Trump, noting that long-term political planning is a decisive advantage.
