Duba Ishaya Dodo SDP resignation confirmed as Nasarawa North aspirant quits party, citing disconnect with its current structure
Duba Ishaya Dodo, a senatorial aspirant of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Nasarawa North, has formally resigned his membership of the party with immediate effect, in a development that signals internal political tensions within the party structure.

Resignation of Duba Ishaya Dodo From SDP was contained in a letter dated 21 April 2026 and addressed to the SDP chairman in Gudi Ward, Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
In the letter, Dodo stated that his decision followed what he described as deep reflection on recent developments within the party.
He noted that despite his contributions at various levels, he could no longer continue his association due to what he termed a growing disconnect between his political expectations and the party’s current direction.
He further explained that continuing his membership would no longer serve the purpose of effective political representation, adding that the party’s structure and internal operations were no longer aligned with the ideals that initially attracted him.
Dodo also formally requested the removal of his name from the party’s membership register and all official records, effectively sealing his exit from the SDP.
