Yemi Osinbajo to Chair 10th House of Justice Summit

Yemi Osinbajo will chair the 10th House of Justice Summit in Kaduna, focusing on justice and resettlement for displaced Nigerians

The Yemi Osinbajo House of Justice Summit is set to hold on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Epitome Events Centre, Barnawa, Kaduna, with former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN, GCON) confirmed as chairman of the event.

The 10th edition of the annual summit, themed “From Camps to Justice and Communities,” will address Nigeria’s prolonged insurgency-related crises by advocating justice for victims and sustainable resettlement for displaced communities.

In a press briefing on Thursday, the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of the House of Justice, Gloria Ballason (Esq.), said the theme reflects the urgent need for Nigeria to move beyond humanitarian relief toward long-term justice and community rebuilding.

“This milestone event comes at a time when concerns are rising about sovereignty and external influence in resolving Nigeria’s insecurity,” Ballason explained. “Beyond feeding camps and building shelters, there’s a moral imperative to restore the dignity of victims through justice.”

The event will feature prominent figures, including Prof. Dakas C.J. Dakas (SAN), Chairman of the Nigerian Law Reform Commission, who will deliver the keynote address.

Others expected include former Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd), Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, and the Second Secretary of the British High Commission, Mr. David Snelling.

According to Ballason, the summit will host experts and policymakers to explore frameworks for transitional justice, compensation, and reintegration of victims.

The Yemi Osinbajo House of Justice Summit will conclude with the prestigious Orange Ball Banquet, celebrating individuals advancing human rights and civic engagement across Africa.

Osinbajo’s participation, Ballason noted, reinforces the growing policy emphasis on justice-centred peacebuilding. During his tenure as Vice President, Osinbajo championed rule of law reforms and humanitarian recovery efforts through the Presidential Committee on North-East Initiative (PCNI).
