Fayose Wike APC row grew after Isaac Fayose mocked Nyesom Wike’s brief as FCT and Rivers campaign coordinator and predicted NDC wins
On Monday, 21 September 2026, Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, mocked the All Progressives Congress after Nyesom Wike was named campaign coordinator for the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State, in a Fayose Wike APC attack posted to Isaac Fayose’s verified Facebook page.

Isaac Fayose said the appointment showed the APC was already lost ahead of 2027 and would not blunt the Nigeria Democratic Congress or the Obidient movement.
“The situation is critical for the APC. Early this morning, they weakly announced Wike to head the campaign in Rivers State and Abuja, just after my video. If you can’t convince them, you can confuse them. They are already confused,” Isaac Fayose said.
“My Obidients, the five governors I earlier said are still with us. They are standing with us. We are going to defeat Wike in Rivers and in Abuja. If they like let them appoint him and reappoint him. He will lose in Abuja. He will lose in Rivers because already we are stronger in Rivers and Abuja than the APC.”
Isaac Fayose had previously claimed five APC governors were secretly backing the NDC. That claim has not been confirmed by the governors named in earlier remarks, and the APC has not answered this video in the report.

The Fayose Wike APC exchange now sits on the public record as an opposition taunt and a prediction of defeat in two territories Nyesom Wike has been asked to hold.
