FCT Minister’s Aide Warns Fubara on Rivers Impeachment

FCT Minister’s media aide Lere Olayinka says Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara knows what to do to avoid impeachment by the State Assembly

Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara “knows exactly what to do” to avoid impeachment.

Olayinka made the remarks on Wednesday during an interview on ‘The Morning Brief,’ a programme, amid political tension in Rivers State where the House of Assembly has initiated impeachment proceedings against Governor Fubara.

He clarified that the impeachment initiative is not being orchestrated by Minister Wike, but by the State Assembly.

“It is not Wike who is behind Fubara’s impeachment move but the House of Assembly,” Olayinka said.

He added: “If Fubara doesn’t want the impeachment, he knows what to do. This is political navigation. He should know, and not to come and be weeping.”
