The group, which describes itself as an umbrella body of professionals, technocrats, and businessmen at home and abroad, made the announcement at its inaugural press conference in Abuja.
GATIC 2027 Director-General, Prince Bevis Paul Igbinoba, said the organisation has established structures across all 774 local government areas to galvanise grassroots support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“We have committed ourselves to the task of mobilising five million Nigerian voters for President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election,” Igbinoba said.
He highlighted what he described as achievements of the Tinubu administration, including the removal of fuel subsidies, abolition of multiple foreign exchange windows, increased crude oil production, improved revenue to states, student loan schemes, and low-interest intervention funds for farmers.
Igbinoba also referenced ongoing infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and noted that Nigeria secured over $3.5 billion in foreign direct investment and $13.35 billion in portfolio inflows between 2023 and 2024.
While acknowledging ongoing economic and security challenges, he described the five-million-vote target as achievable, promising that campaign strategies would be unveiled in due course.
