Chief Press Secretary to the INEC chairman, Adedayo Oketola, confirmed the resumption on Monday, following the conclusion of the first phase on December 10, 2025.

During the first phase, 9,891,801 Nigerians initiated online pre-registration, with 2,572,054 registrations fully completed nationwide.

This includes 1,503,832 online completions and 1,068,222 through physical enrolment.

INEC explained that the interval between the two phases was used for statutory activities, including the display of the voters’ register for claims and objections from December 15 to 21, 2025.

Eligible Nigerians are urged to use the resumed CVR exercise to register, transfer their voting locations, or update personal information.

Registrants from the first phase are also encouraged to verify details and report errors.

The commission noted that CVR activities remain suspended in Anambra State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) due to ongoing electoral processes.
