The decision was announced by Kanayo Chukwu, chairman of the ADC in Wuse Ward, during a meeting attended by members of the ward’s executive committee.
Chukwu said the disciplinary action followed deliberations by party officials over what they described as persistent conduct inconsistent with the party’s principles and organisational discipline.
According to him, the meeting examined the senator’s actions and concluded that the alleged infractions warranted immediate sanctions.
“The matter was discussed extensively by the ward executives, and the decision was taken to suspend Senator Ireti Kingibe indefinitely,” Chukwu stated.
The move introduces a fresh twist to the political dynamics within the ADC in the Federal Capital Territory, as the party seeks to maintain internal order and cohesion ahead of future political contests.

Political observers note that disciplinary actions at ward level can sometimes trigger broader party reviews, particularly when they involve high-profile office holders.
The development may therefore spark further internal consultations within the party’s leadership structure.
