Fredrick Agbedi Makes Strong Case for Jonathan 2027 Return

Jonathan 2027 Return gains attention as Fredrick Agbedi insists former President Goodluck Jonathan can contest and strengthen PDP chances

Member of the House of Representatives from Bayelsa State, Fredrick Agbedi has insisted that former President Goodluck Jonathan retains the constitutional right to contest the 2027 presidential election, while urging the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to rally behind his possible return.

Agbedi made the remarks during an appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show, where he argued that Jonathan remains a politically relevant figure capable of strengthening the opposition party’s chances in the next general election.

The discussion around Jonathan 2027 Return was further amplified by Agbedi’s claim that Nigerians are receptive to the idea of the former president re-entering the race, citing his past administration as evidence of leadership capacity.

PDP chieftain also commended the party for what he described as efforts to position Jonathan as a key figure in its future electoral strategy, suggesting that internal processes supporting his potential candidacy were already underway.

Agbedi stated that sacrifices were necessary in nation building, adding that Jonathan’s previous tenure demonstrated commitment to governance and national development.

According to him, any move by the former president to contest under the PDP platform should be seen as a patriotic contribution rather than a political controversy.

Jonathan 2027 Return, Agbedi added, could represent a strategic advantage for the PDP as it seeks to regain national power in a highly competitive political environment.

He further claimed that relevant party documentation and processes relating to Jonathan’s possible candidacy were already in circulation, although he did not provide detailed confirmation of official endorsement.
