The decision was reached during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held at the Coronation Hall, Kano Government House, where party leaders unanimously adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

According to a press statement issued by Mustapha Muhammad, Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State Governor, the stakeholders also pledged financial support for the purchase of the President’s expression of interest and nomination forms.

A motion for the adoption of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was moved by Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi and received unanimous approval from all stakeholders present at the meeting.

Kano State APC Chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa, said the party initially considered purchasing the nomination forms outright but later agreed on a collective contribution strategy.

He confirmed that the stakeholders resolved to raise ₦50 million in support of the President’s political ambition, describing the move as a demonstration of confidence in his leadership.

The stakeholders said their endorsement reflects trust in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda and commitment to national development. They also expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the 2027 general elections.

The meeting further reaffirmed support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as the APC’s sole governorship candidate in Kano State, in what leaders described as an effort to strengthen unity within the party structure.
