Speaking on Arise Television on Tuesday, the movement’s spokesman, Habibu Mohammed, said NNPP’s survival was entirely tied to Kwankwaso’s political influence.
He argued that the party has lost its relevance in Kano and across Nigeria following the defection.
According to him, Kwankwaso’s departure signals the end of NNPP’s political strength in the region.
He further stated that the former presidential candidate would now become the central figure of the ADC in Kano State.
Mohammed predicted a wave of defections into the ADC, insisting that many supporters would follow Kwankwaso due to loyalty and shared political beliefs.
He described Kwankwaso as a disciplined and direct leader with strong influence among politicians and supporters.
He added that many politicians see him as a figure capable of providing direction and stability within any political platform he joins.
