Makinde Appoints Oyo Campaign Coordinator as Governor Seyi Makinde names Nureni Adeniran to head his presidential and APM governorship campaigns
Oyo State Governor and Allied Peoples Movement presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, has appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Nureni Adeniran, as his presidential campaign coordinator in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr Suleimon Olanrewaju.
The statement said Dr Adeniran will also serve as Director-General of the APM Governorship Campaign Council in Oyo State.
According to the statement, the dual appointment is aimed at strengthening the party’s campaign structure as preparations intensify for the 2027 elections.
Other members of the campaign council include former Oyo East Local Government Chairman, Saheed Arowosaye, who will serve as deputy coordinator, while the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, has been appointed deputy Director-General for the southern zone of the state.
The statement added that Governor Makinde is expected to inaugurate the campaign council on Friday at the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.
The APM has nominated former Oyo State Commissioner for Finance, Bimbo Adekanmbi, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 election.
Adekanmbi served in the administration of the late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi and is expected to lead the party’s bid to reclaim the state.
The appointments come as political parties continue to strengthen their campaign organisations ahead of what is expected to be a keenly contested 2027 electoral cycle.
In recent weeks, parties and political movements have announced key leadership positions as they intensify mobilisation efforts across the country.

Governor Makinde’s latest appointments are expected to provide strategic direction for both his presidential campaign and the APM’s governorship bid in Oyo State.
