NNPP mobilisation 2027: Party directs state executives to register members and recruit politicians with integrity ahead of general elections
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has instructed its state executive officers across the country to immediately begin mobilising politicians with verifiable records and integrity in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

The directive, issued in a statement by Dr Boniface Aniebonam, Founder and Chairman of the NNPP Board of Trustees on Friday, also called for a membership drive and updating of the party’s existing register.
Aniebonam emphasised that only politicians who uphold the ideals of the party would be accepted, stating, “All state and local government executives must ensure that politicians they would accept into the party have verifiable records, integrity and honour.”
He reflected on past challenges, including the leadership dispute between the NNPP and the Sen Rabiu Kwankwaso-led Kwankwasiya Movement, noting that litigation had previously hampered the party’s participation in elections.
“Now that we are almost done with the issues involved, all hands must be on deck to advance the NNPP’s primary objective to enthrone good governance in Nigeria with the fear of God,” Aniebonam said.
The party founder added that existing members unwilling to conform to NNPP ideals were free to join other political parties, saying, “We have no grudge against anyone but rather to appreciate and pray for those who are no longer our members to find favour wherever they may have gone.”
Aniebonam further underscored forgiveness and unity, declaring that past betrayals, particularly involving Kwankwaso and Elder Buba Galadima, have been set aside.
“Victory shall be ours and it’s our hope and belief that everything shall be alright shortly,” he added.

The NNPP’s announcement signals an intensified effort to strengthen party structures, recruit credible politicians, and position itself strategically ahead of the 2027 polls.
