Key party figures in attendance included the national vice chairman for the South West, Honourable Rahman Owokoniran, and the six zonal chairmen.

A statement issued by the party’s national director of communication and programmes, Dr Babatunde Oke, described Taylor’s appointment as “a result of his impeccable track record, political acumen, administrative astuteness, and meritocracy.”

The statement further lauded Taylor as “a distinguished fellow with a proven moral compass and impeccable pedigree.”
