ADC guber candidate threatens to leave Nigeria over APC win

ADC Jigawa governorship candidate Sabo Nakudu says he may leave Nigeria if APC wins 2027 without improving hardship and living conditions

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Jigawa State, Sabo Nakudu, has said he would leave Nigeria if the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins the 2027 general elections without improving the living conditions of citizens.

Nakudu made the remark while receiving members of the ADC youth wing in Jigawa State, expressing concern over worsening hardship across the country.

He warned that young Nigerians would continue to bear the brunt of unemployment, insecurity and poor infrastructure if urgent reforms are not implemented.

According to him, successive governments have failed to provide basic necessities such as clean water, stable electricity, education and security, despite years of democratic rule.

He said it was unacceptable that many communities still struggle with access to potable water and reliable power supply, insisting that government performance should be measured by its direct impact on citizens’ lives.

“I will leave Nigeria if the APC wins the 2027 general elections,” Nakudu said.

He added that the younger generation would suffer the most if current socio-economic challenges persist, urging youths to take active part in politics rather than remain passive observers.

“Don’t distance yourselves from politics but participate actively in the democratic process. Only leaders who are committed to development and accountability should be entrusted with public offices,” he said.

Nakudu further stressed that political leadership must be judged by tangible improvements in living standards, not campaign promises.
