Senator Adegbonmire Urges Voters to Re-elect Tinubu

Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire urges Nigerians to re-elect Tinubu and back APC candidates in 2027, citing roads, reserves and student loans

Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, who represents Ondo Central and is the All Progressives Congress candidate for the same seat, told Adaba FM in Akure on Thursday, 27 August 2026, that Nigerians should re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027 and support other APC candidates at every level.

Mr Adegbonmire said the administration deserved a second term so that projects already under way could be finished.

He described Mr Tinubu as working “day and night” to ease hardship and argued that current reforms were meant as lasting systems, not quick fixes.

“I want to call on Nigerians, particularly the people of Ondo Central, to support President Bola Tinubu, himself and other APC candidates across all levels in the 2027 elections,” he said. “The Renewed Hope administration needs continuity to consolidate the reforms and projects already underway. Things are being done in phases, but the President is building systems and institutions that will endure. For that reason, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves commendation for his courage and commitment.”

He pointed to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, renewed rail work, airport and aviation safety spending, and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund for students.

He also praised greater foreign exchange predictability for manufacturers and importers, and said reserves above 50 billion dollars should steady investor nerves and help the country absorb external shocks.

On his own record in three years of the 10th Senate, Mr Adegbonmire said he had focused on education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth and human capital.

As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, he said he had worked on justice and the rule of law and sponsored bills he called life-changing for constituents.

He listed education projects worth more than N800 million at Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure, new classrooms at St Helens Unity Secondary School, Ondo, and at Owobamibo, Ofosu, in Idanre, plus renovations at St Thomas and St Andrew Primary School in Akure South.

The appeal is a campaign speech from a sitting APC senator seeking another term. It does not weigh the cost of living debate that still hangs over the Tinubu years, nor does it offer an opposition reply.

What it does set out is the party line from Ondo Central: continuity, listed projects, and a clear call to re-elect Tinubu.
