The Senator Nyako defection to APC was confirmed on Sunday, with the former legislator, popularly known as “Commander,” citing internal factional disputes within the ADC as a key reason for his departure.

Nyako, who previously served in the 8th National Assembly representing Adamawa Central, had joined the ADC only months earlier but exited the party amid ongoing tensions in its state structure.

Addressing journalists, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri acknowledged the development, stating that it was important to integrate influential political figures like Nyako into the evolving political structure in the state.

Governor Fintiri confirmed that Abdulaziz Nyako is now a registered and card-carrying member of the All Progressives Congress, further strengthening the party’s presence in Adamawa.
