Shettima made the statement on Tuesday in Gusau, Zamfara State, during a ceremony where Governor Dauda Lawal officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Shettima insecurity assurance in Zamfara came as he represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the political event marking Lawal’s defection to the ruling party.

He said the government is working tirelessly to ensure the safety of lives and property across the country.

According to him, stronger unity among political leaders will help improve security operations, especially in states affected by violence.

Shettima also welcomed Governor Lawal’s move to the APC, describing it as a positive step that would strengthen governance and security coordination.

Other APC leaders present at the event also praised the defection, describing it as a major political development in Zamfara State.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, said the move signaled a new phase for the state’s political landscape.

He added that cooperation among leaders would help address insecurity and promote development.

Governor Dauda Lawal expressed appreciation for the support from party leaders and pledged commitment to the development of Zamfara State.

The APC leadership also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the state in addressing security and infrastructure challenges.
