The allegation was made at an APC stakeholders’ meeting, where Local Government Chairman Isa Sadiq Achida said Tambuwal failed to deliver meaningful development to the area.
Achida also criticised the former governor’s involvement in a reported political coalition, describing it as a regrouping of familiar political figures rather than a fresh movement.
He urged residents, particularly youths, to support continuity under the current administration instead of aligning with what he described as recycled political interests.
During the meeting, the APC formally received defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including three former councillors.
Council Leader Nasiru Jabo, representing the Local Government Chairman, affirmed the party’s commitment to improving performance in future elections.
State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Ala, disclosed that the government had approved the establishment of three new secondary schools in Tambuwal Local Government Area.
Meanwhile, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Aminu Dikko, highlighted appointments of local indigenes to political offices and dismissed speculation regarding any personal political ambition, pledging to abide by party decisions.
Efforts to reach former Governor Tambuwal for comment were unsuccessful.
