2027: Tinubu Will Defeat Rivals by Massive Margin — Bwala

Daniel Bwala predicts Tinubu will defeat his rivals by an unbelievable margin in the 2027 election, citing growing support from opposition politicians

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has predicted a sweeping victory for the President in the 2027 presidential election, saying the margin over his rivals will be far wider than in 2023.

Bwala expressed confidence that Tinubu would outperform his showing in the 2023 presidential election, when he defeated Peoples Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party candidate Peter Obi.

Speaking on Tuesday, the presidential adviser said the difference between Tinubu and the other candidates in 2027 would be so significant that many Nigerians would find it difficult to believe.

“Let me tell you and let me say it categorically and I will be happy to come back. The margin of gap that President Bola Tinubu will give each and every one of these candidates will be so much that you won’t believe it,” Bwala said.

Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election with 8,794,726 votes, finishing ahead of Atiku, who came second, while Obi placed third.

The 2027 contest is expected to feature another major political battle, with parties and candidates already positioning themselves ahead of the election.

For Bwala, however, the political landscape is increasingly favouring the incumbent President.

The presidential adviser attributed his confidence partly to the growing number of governors and political figures from opposition parties who have moved towards Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Several governors elected on opposition platforms have defected to the APC since the 2023 election, contributing to a series of political realignments across the country.

Bwala argued that these developments could give Tinubu a stronger political base going into the 2027 presidential contest.

He said the President was likely to have the backing of more governors in 2027 than he had during his first presidential campaign.

According to Bwala, the movement of political actors across party lines would further strengthen Tinubu’s position as the country approaches the next presidential election.

His prediction comes against the backdrop of heightened political activity ahead of 2027, with opposition parties and political groups also seeking to consolidate their structures and challenge the ruling APC.

Bwala, however, maintained that the growing support for Tinubu would translate into a significantly larger electoral advantage than the President enjoyed in 2023.

The adviser did not provide a specific vote margin or numerical projection for the 2027 election but insisted that the eventual difference between Tinubu and his challengers would be “so much” that it would be difficult to believe.

With political realignments continuing ahead of 2027, Bwala’s prediction sets an emphatic tone for the ruling party’s expectations as the race for the presidency gradually takes shape.
