The initiative, organised under the Renewed Hope Ambassadors platform supporting President Tinubu’s re-election bid, will begin in the North-West region, which officials described as strategically important to the administration’s political and developmental outreach.
Speaking during a press briefing, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga said the tour was designed to allow journalists physically inspect federal and state projects across the country.
He explained that the exercise would help improve public understanding of government achievements and correct misinformation surrounding ongoing development efforts.
According to him, journalists and stakeholders will be taken to project sites to verify infrastructure claims and assess their impact on local communities.
Onanuga noted that major investments in roads and infrastructure have contributed to economic growth by improving transportation, agriculture, and trade activities nationwide.
He further stated that reforms introduced by the administration have increased financial allocations to states, enabling sub-national governments to execute more projects.
Also speaking, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties Tunde Rahman said the initiative would help counter misinformation about federal projects, particularly claims that certain regions had been neglected.
He highlighted ongoing projects such as rail development linking Kano to Maradi, describing them as key infrastructure investments being showcased under the tour.
Rahman added that a digital platform has been introduced to provide Nigerians with access to verified information on government projects and reforms.
In his remarks, Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Information Rabiu Ibrahim said the nationwide tour would help citizens better understand federal government interventions across sectors.
He cited ongoing projects in transportation, health, and social investment programmes, noting that many initiatives are already impacting communities across the country.
Officials also highlighted progress on major rail projects, including the Kaduna-Kano and Kano-Maradi lines, which they said have recorded significant completion milestones since 2023.
