Tinubu returns to Abuja after 10-day visit to Lagos, Jos, and Imo, where he held investor meetings, commissioned projects, and attended key national events
Tinubu returns to Abuja after a ten-day working visit that took him across Lagos, Imo, and Plateau States, where he engaged in high-level meetings, project inaugurations, and national celebrations.

The President arrived in Lagos on September 26, following his attendance at the coronation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, in Oyo State.
During his Lagos stay, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with top investors, including Bayo Ogunlesi, CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners, and Keem Belo-Osagie, former UBA and Etisalat Chairman.
The engagements were aimed at fostering economic collaboration and investment in critical sectors.
According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President also received Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
Discussions focused on the development of Nigeria’s maritime sector as a key alternative to fossil fuel reliance.
Ahead of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary, Tinubu visited Imo State, where he commissioned infrastructural projects completed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.


He also unveiled a book authored by the governor, documenting the All Progressives Congress’ decade in power.
In Lagos, Tinubu delivered the national Independence Day address from Dodan Barracks, where he called on Nigerians to speak positively about their country.
He later inaugurated the newly renovated National Theatre, renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, in honour of the Nobel laureate.
On October 4, Tinubu travelled to Jos, Plateau State, to attend the funeral of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda.
At the service, the President paid tribute to the late matriarch and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to fairness and religious equity, particularly for Christian communities in the North.
Upon his return to Abuja, Tinubu received Bashir Ojulari, Group CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
The meeting included briefings on the company’s performance, investment outlook, and strategies to reach national crude oil production targets.
