Uba Sani APC consensus committee Kaduna as governor sets up panel to strengthen unity, resolve disputes and promote internal democracy in APC
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has established a high-level consensus committee on party harmonisation and aspirants’ engagement aimed at strengthening internal democracy and sustaining unity within the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of upcoming elections.

APC consensus committee set up by Uba Sani in Kaduna was announced in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki, who said the initiative is designed to promote mutual understanding, political stability and consensus-building within the ruling party.
The committee is chaired by Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, and is mandated to engage aspirants, party leaders and key stakeholders across the state to resolve disputes in constituencies where multiple interests exist.
According to the statement, the panel will focus on mediation and constructive engagement, encouraging voluntary withdrawals where necessary in the interest of party harmony and electoral success.
Governor Uba Sani said the move reflects his commitment to inclusive leadership, internal cohesion and the preservation of unity within the APC in Kaduna State.
Other members of the committee include the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Liman; APC State Chairman, Atiku Sankey; Secretary to the State Government, Dr AbdulKadir Muazu Meyere; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Sani Kila; Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Dr James Kanyip; Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki; and Deputy Chief of Staff (Legal Services), Dr Mustapha Musa.

The state government said the committee is expected to play a key role in ensuring peaceful coordination and strengthening the party’s chances ahead of future elections.
