Yilwatda made the remark while defending the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu, dismissing opposition efforts to use the reforms against the ruling party.
He spoke at the Progressive Governors’ Forum-Renewed Hope Ambassadors Summit in Abuja.
“In 2027, Nigerians will not vote noise. Instead, they will vote based on the results they see on the streets and throughout the country,” he said.
He argued that opposition parties were banking on temporary economic discomfort, without recognising the long-term benefits of ongoing reforms.
The APC chairman highlighted infrastructure projects under the Tinubu administration, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, the Badagry-Sokoto Road with irrigation dams, the Red Line Rail, and the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline.
