SDP presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo claims President Tinubu can produce his own votes ahead of the 2027 general elections
The Social Democratic Party presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has alleged that President Bola Tinubu can “produce his own votes” ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adebayo made the claim during an interview on Politics Hub, a programme on Vanguard, while speaking on his party’s preparations for the next election cycle.
He described President Tinubu in strong terms while discussing Nigeria’s electoral system and opposition strategy.
According to him, political actors must intensify grassroots engagement, arguing that elections require direct connection with voters across communities.
Adebayo referenced Nigeria’s First Republic political leaders, including Obafemi Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, and Nnamdi Azikiwe, to emphasise the importance of physical campaign outreach.
He said effective political mobilisation requires leaders to meet voters where they are, rather than relying on distant or indirect engagement.
The SDP candidate maintained that his campaign strategy involves continuous nationwide visits to strengthen support ahead of the 2027 polls.
