APC successfully conducted ward congresses across Jigawa, electing leaders in all 287 wards by transparency under Governor Umar Namadi’s leadership
The All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State conducted ward congresses on Wednesday, electing party leaders across all 287 wards.

Shehu Mu’azu, chairman of the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee, supervised the exercise and commended its orderly conduct.
The elections were conducted by consensus, as the positions were uncontested, allowing candidates to be adopted by affirmation in line with the party’s constitution.
Mu’azu emphasized that while the current process was non-competitive, future exercises will ensure a level playing field where multiple aspirants exist.
Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly and chair of the Local Organising Committee, praised Governor Umar Namadi for promoting transparency, inclusiveness, and fairness in the party.

He attributed the smooth conduct of the congresses to members’ confidence in the governor’s leadership and expressed optimism for the APC’s future in the state.
