The exercise, flagged off at Owo, Nkanu East Local Government Area, aims to consolidate the party’s presence and strengthen alignment with the federal government.
Governor Mbah described the initiative as a defining moment in the state’s transition from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.
“The time that we played fragmented politics is over. We no longer want to be on the sidelines, but we want to be at the centre and play dominant politics,” he said.
Mbah emphasised that the drive is inclusive, aiming to accommodate all members and ensure discipline and transparency among agents, supervisors, and coordinators.
“We have work to do to ensure that the banner of our political party is entrenched in our various homes, not just communities. We are APC in the morning, APC in the day, and APC in the night,” he added.
The governor also highlighted how the move aligns with the benefits of federal programmes under President Bola Tinubu, particularly the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme.
“This programme is designed to empower over 8.8 million people directly, and indirectly impact 40 million, lifting communities out of poverty,” he said.
Deputy National Chairman (South) of the APC, Chief Emma Eneukwu, and Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Enugu APC, Dr. Ben Nwoye, said the e-registration seeks to digitalise the party’s database and align membership records with 21st-century technological realities.
Eneukwu added, “Politics is about power. By registering electronically and linking with NINs, we know the number of people who have the power and ability to vote in elections.”

The APC e-registration exercise is expected to significantly expand the party’s grassroots engagement, strengthen party cohesion, and ensure a robust presence across Enugu State in preparation for upcoming political activities.
