Eze defects from APC to ADC, declaring that his decision was driven by what he described as the “brazen ineptitude” of the current government.
He also revealed that he has aligned with the African Democratic Congress.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the APC stalwart expressed regret over his role in promoting the party during its formative years, stating that it has since lost direction and credibility.
Eze criticised the government’s economic performance, noting that the naira continues to weaken against major currencies despite earlier promises of stability.
He also raised concerns over worsening insecurity, describing Nigeria as unsafe for citizens across several regions.
According to him, the administration has failed to deliver on key promises, including improved food security, quality education, and uninterrupted power supply.
He added that corruption remains widespread, contrary to the party’s initial commitments.
The former APC chieftain further warned that Nigeria’s democracy is under strain, alleging a drift towards a one-party system and suppression of dissenting voices.
He cited incidents of alleged disruption of opposition activities as evidence of growing political intolerance.
Eze also criticised the government’s response to insecurity, alleging that communities in the North East and North Central have been displaced, while attacks on civilians and security personnel persist.

His defection marks a significant political development, adding to ongoing debates about governance, security, and economic direction under the current administration.
